Welcome to Michigan; the state where I grew up and spent most of my life so far. I have many fond memories of this state from spending summers in the Upper Peninsula in search of waterfalls and picturesque views of Lake Michigan to visiting the numerous museums and points of interest the cities have to offer such as Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. Of all the states I know, I find Michigan quite unique in that the southern one-third is heavily-populated and industrialized; whereas the northern two-thirds is much more rugged, scenic, and isolated from the rest of country. Though I have heard people tell me there's nothing like the views of Minnesota's arrowhead or Wisconsin's Apostles, I would still much rather find myself in the Keweenaw or the pictured rocks.
